Noted British actor and generally really cool guy Stephen Fry wrote an article in Time magazine about his visit to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, meeting with Steve Jobs, and first experience of the Apple iPad.

Fry reminisces about being the second (to Douglas Adams) Briton to own a Macintosh in 1984, and the joyous experience of operating a Macintosh computer. He concludes with this:

One melancholy thought occurs as my fingers glide and flow over the surface of this astonishing object: Douglas Adams is not alive to see the closest thing to his Hitchhiker’s Guide that humankind has yet devised.
